Fruit Tree Orchard

Orchard may be an overstatement.

Since first starting this post, two cherry plum trees have been planted. Teen temps, ice, then snow, froze the top layer of soil prohibiting digging and sifting. Rains perpetuate as of today, staving off soil leveling and planting.

Nonetheless, the area is coming along with just another day or two of dedication to bring its vision into fruition.

The background area is the gutter graveyard, also slated for use/cleanup.

The logs in the background appear small but in reality are 24 inches in diameter. They are on the "mulch" books for fall on 2024.

The rain barrel feeds the orchard and the garden sink - to the right not pictured. Five hundred gallon tank enough to get through the late summer into August's early fall dry days. Apple and blueberries get planted next. Light rain perfects the weather for transplanting, so the next few days will be spent fern hunting, digging, moving, and thanking. Gratitude being the most important aspect of the process.
