Howard dug two percolator test holes at six feet deep and six feet wide. He loves digging on our property. By the time he gets to his waist, I come and we trade off digging with a bucket and dumping. Three layers consisting of top soil, rock, and gravel must be penetrated before getting to the sand layer. Howard also dug the trench from the field to the tank, about 150 feet.

Howard also dug the tank hole. A friend came and dug another foot while he was getting a rock I had donated to his property. The tank has to be secured with straps. I am covering the straps with plastic to protect from dirt, rust, and corrosion. Some may say that riding a horse might be more fun, but horses don't come in yellow.

The tank installed with risers and drain pipe to house. An indoor flush toilet. The first in four years.
