Mother Theresa said we draw our family circle too small, but I say, why bother with a circle at all. For it is within boundaries that we confine ourselves and create the prisons we desperately seek to escape. To escape, I, you, we need only not build those walls of separation - those ideas of 'them' verses 'us' and 'you' verses 'me.' A poverty mentality promising salvation, delivering only misery.
Family or friend is a label applied to separate, establish a boundary to protect an illusion of self. Dropping the label, initiates connection - the recognition of me in you. And in this recognition, family and friends provide the same bounty.
